About Course

Making compost is very satisfying. You start with some fruit and vegetable peelings from the kitchen, add the top of perennial weeds (not the roots unless you’ve drowned or dried them, or your compost achieves the heat of industrial composting), grass cuttings, and cut up pieces of woody stem, and after 6 months to a year, depending on how attentive you are to your compost pile, you will have gorgeous crumbly compost that in no way resembles the ingredients that created it. You can feed your plants from your own kitchen and garden waste, and boost wildlife food chain. And you can start a compost heap at any time of the year.
