How to make a fabric craft basket

Fabric craft baskets are great for storing phone cables, keys, glasses cases, stationery, and they are easy to make and can be put in the wash if they get dirty. Best made with an outer basket of a stiffer fabric like reupholstery or hessian (think coffee bean bags) and an inner one of cotton, as it is only the inner one that needs to be washed occasionally. You can create your own pattern without too much trouble, but the one illustrated here is approx 17cm wide, 12cm deep and 16cm tall when complete.
